Course Outline

Let your thoughts flow

Hi everyone here is an outline of  the course content.  It is here where you will find out what is expected of you and what you will achieve from completing  this course.  Please take some time to read this and contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

This course will help you to develop the skills and confidence you need to become actively involved in an online community.

Time– About 5 hours each week.

Number of students: 8

Tasks are set each week which are completed by:

• working individually and together with the group.
• expressing your opinion and sharing your thoughts.

Web 2.0 Tools (tools allowing you to communicate with others over the internet) will be used regularly to assist you in achieving the tasks set:

Blog:  You will  set up your own blog which you will be required to update regularly.  This is a great way to write  about and share your views, thoughts and interests with the online community.

Second Life:  Second life is a place where we can meet online together at the same time .  We will use Second Life for weekly meetings to discuss a variety of topics and carry out some fun activities.

Skype:  You will be allocated time to discuss  any course related problems you are having.  We will also  talk about the previous weeks task and I will provide some feedback.
